The story...

About Petra Lohmeier
EASE Consulting grew organically out of previous jobs and consulting engagements, which all centred eventually around one thing: dealing with change, change management, and adapting to a new environment.
Sustainable performance requires energy.
Dealing with change on top of the normal work load requires even more energy, especially in international organisations at the top of the industry.
After more than fifteen years advising international organisations and senior leaders on complex legal, regulatory and organisational challenges, and after over 25 years of dealing with constant personal change, I came to realise that the greatest obstacle to sustainable performance wasn't knowledge—it was energy.
And when energy was missing, and people still had to perform, things got...interesting.
Not to mention destructive to the body, and eventually the mind.
So I got interested in how sustainable energy can be created in a healthy way, while I was still doing the job I was hired to do.
But "fixing" a lack of energy can be a tricky thing - it is not just nutrition, rest, and exercise, it is not something that necessarily declines with age until well into old age, and it is highly individualistic.
EASE Consulting is still meant to help with whatever challenges individuals or companies are facing, especially when faced with rapid change, but also when help is needed with exciting innovations that need new creative ideas and new ways - we have worked in a number of industries and several countries, and cross-pollination can be a wonderful thing.
But we thought it could also be helpful to offer a program to deal with the stresses that come with new paths - even when they are exciting. Consulting clients do not have to book the course, but it is there if it is needed.
The EASE of Sustainable Performance™ grew from that observation. It is an evolving framework that integrates leadership psychology, health science, bodywork and practical recovery into one coherent approach to sustainable performance.

So what is "Petra Park" all about?

Petra Park is what we are doing all this for - it is where the surplus income is going to be invested, and the plan is to eventually turn it into a foundation, a charity. In previous incarnations of businesses, we called it the "WWAC".
The idea to call it "Petra Park" came during the COVID lockdowns in Spain - it wasn't my idea.
We got shut into a camp ground back then, and since we were there, we proceeded to rescue quite a few animals - newborn kittens that couldn't be fed by their young mom, the water turtle that one of the staff had to leave behind...
After the lockdown was less severe, the local zoos and aquariums were still shut, but people were allowed to go camping.
But what to do with their kids, who were bored out of their little minds?
Well, there were we, with a trampoline, several kittens, and a water turtle...
The campground benefitted as well, because, while tourists were gone, the locals came with their kids to play with the animals. And so the manager called us "Petra Park".
What started as a small project around wellbeing, nature, and recovery turned into a proof of concept - it proved to us that helping abandoned animals and profit did not have to be ad odds with each other, because while the animals were profiting, humans were profiting as well, and even the campground got more money, because more people came to visit with us - we were one of the few places of entertainmet around
During that time, caring for abandoned animals, supporting local families, and living through an unusually slowed-down world also reinforced a core insight:
regeneration is not a luxury — it is essential.
Today, Petra Park is in the embryo stages. But eventually, we envision it to include individualized bodywork and regenerative massage for people carrying high levels of responsibility, stress, and mental load to create space for recovery, clarity, grounding, and reconnection with the body, in a setting of recovery for animals as well, while the newest technology is used to facilitate finding and implementing the benefit for all - humans and nature.
We did create a vision - there is still a scene missing with a drone delivering vital meds to a ranger who supports wildlife, but the rest is pretty much what we would like to see in, say, 300 years:
